Happy Hump Day Bump Day!! I still just can’t believe how quickly this pregnancy is flying by! The past month has been so busy, it feels like I blinked and 6 more weeks went by. So here’s our little update for the month! Just a few more to go!
How far along: 24 weeks!
Sex: BOY. Little baby Emerson is apparently now the size of a cantaloupe…
- Gotta Have: FRUIT, salads, lemonade, salt & vinegar chips.
- Keep it Away: I’ve added scrambled eggs to my list that was once just Veggie Burgers (still on it). Hard boiled is fine, but scrambled or fried, uggh.
Missing: Sleep. And still missing all my old clothes.
Symptoms: Tired a lot because of the lack of sleep, but otherwise I feel so good. Nothing else to complain about. Appetite still through the roof. Clumsiness is definitely kicking in, although I wasn’t the most graceful person before pregnancy. Brain fog seems to be easing up though!
Weight gain: Last I checked, I was up about 8 pounds. Probably closer to 10 now.
Maternity clothes: Pretty much everything except loose tops. No squeezing into any of my old bottoms anymore. And maternity dresses seem to be much more flattering these days than regular, flowy style dresses.
Preparations: Registry is done, ordering hypno-birthing program this week, picking up some little things here and there but definitely still need all the main necessities (but it’s so much more fun to shop for clothes). We’ve started planning our December baby shower in FL! So excited about that because it’ll be a mini reunion of friends and family we haven’t seen in a long time.
Best purchase this month: Hmm..I was oddly excited to get our first Boba Wrap! Got Belly Buds as a gift – I was so happy to start using those. Haha we’ve done a lot of planning this month, but not a ton of buying yet.
Looking forward to: Setting up a little nursery. We’re moving soon and I can’t wait to start nesting in our new place and getting Emerson’s nook decorated.
Exercise: Still trying to stay as active as possible. Workouts are just modified – lower weights, more reps. Walking a lot. Now that it’s cooling off a bit, I’m looking forward to doing some light hiking.
On My Mind: My nerves about being a mom are starting to fade. I’m beginning to feel ready for him to get here and grow our family <3.
